Shane was super friendly and helpful from the beginning and was always quick to answer any questions I had and accommodate anything I needed. Jeff and Stephen handled my move and were absolute rockstars. They wasted no time getting everything moved, but were still incredibly careful with all of my belongings. I have a really nice Japanese bookshelf that I was especially nervous about moving, and they handled it with the utmost care, which I really appreciated. On top of the move itself, they helped hang my curtains and even got rid of a bunch of stuff I didn’t need anymore. I live on the third floor with no elevator, and they handled everything like it was no big deal! They worked quickly, were friendly the entire time, and made sure I was completely happy with everything before they left. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better moving experience. Moving is stressful, especially when you have a house full of furniture, artwork, antiques, and things that can't easily be replaced. From the beginning, Shane and his team made us feel comfortable that everything was in good hands. The crew packed our entire home, carefully crated several valuable antique pieces and artwork, loaded everything, delivered it, and even mounted our TVs at the new house. Every piece arrived exactly as it left—without a single item damaged. What stood out most was the level of care. The team wasn't just moving boxes; they genuinely cared about protecting our belongings and making sure everything was placed where we wanted it. J B11 July 2026Best moving company in Charleston, SC! Shane and his team were extremely professional and punctual. The owner (Shane) stopped by my house the day before to get an inventory and look at some specialty machines that I have. I was concerned about moving them. Shane was very positive and has any and all specialty tools required to move any household items or even large machines. All household items and toolboxes were padded, wrapped, and moved with extreme care. My furniture is very expensive and they padded everything and loaded it all onto the truck with caution. He sent (4) people over who were extremely respectful and hard working. Even in this heat, they all had great attitudes. Upon arrival to the new house, they moved everything in very quickly and even disassembled some items to help the move process. I’m in the military and have moved a lot. All others (moving companies) bowed out when learning of the 875 lbs. piece of furniture that had to be moved up a flight of stairs without the benefit of a freight elevator. A&S did not cower but rose to accept the challenge. They were very meticulous in addressing items that could potentially have been damaged or persons harmed! From the initial set up of the move, Shane was awesome! He was direct and professional. He quoted me a price over the phone, explained exactly what would take place how many trucks were gonna be loaded and how many workers would be needed for the job. All of the guys were great. Steve was a great at directing the team on what they were going to do or not do with the move. All of the guys worked well together and showed what true team work really is. During the move each of them were willing and ready to help their teammates. This move was a hard move. We had a lot of stuff, but the guys handled it well , even though it was extremely hot all of them had a great attitude. I want to give kudos to all of the workers Robert, Vince, Jeff and D. We couldn’t have done it without you guys. We appreciate all your hard work and especially Robert and Vince who stayed late to make sure everything was taken care of. Over the years we've moved up and down the east coast 15 times. We've had some good moves and weve had our share of nightmare moves. Our experience with R&S was by far the best experience we've ever had. We hired R&S to pack, load and deliver but there's no job too big or too small for R&S. The entire process couldn't have gone any better. Every detail and every step was executed with extreme efficiency and effectiveness. We started off talking to Shane (owner) and invited him to our home to assess our move requirements. He then gave us multiple service and price points options for our move. Once we made our decision to hire R&S it was then time to see if they could really deliver on all the commitments Shane made. Clearly based on this post R&S exceeded our expectations. Please believe what you read on their comprehensive website, as it depicts the care, professionalism and high degree of service you will receive. My husband and I also had Shane’s experienced employees pack up our 3 bedroom home and 2 sheds. My observation/ solution for our next move (definitely with R&S) will be to personally pack the items we feel to be vital. This will ensure we can access them immediately. The packers are fast, careful and efficient, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they isolate unlike items in any given room. The crew was respectful of us personally, of our property and did what they could to grant requests on the fly. They really move quickly, so stay out of their way! The men conduct themselves well, act like decent people and don’t use coarse language. Shane is truly grateful for his clients’ business and wants to make sure they are satisfied with the move. Ed5 April 2026This is my second time using R&S and working with Shane. Both times I have used R&S to relocate a very large gun safe from down a set of stairs to a new location. Both moves were complicated but the R&S crew made sure to get the job done without damaging the surrounding environment as well as the safe itself. I will be using Shane and R&S again in two months. We loved the crew and called them when we had to do our next move into a new build - which ended up including multiple moves, storage and many changes along the way to accommodate the shifting timeline. Shane was a pro and worked with us through each scenario - we had several multi-day situations, which included packing, moving to a new location and/or storage, and finally, unpacking. Each time, the team showed up ready to do whatever we needed. We got to know some of the team given the repeat visits, and each one has a great can-do attitude. Along the way, Shane would reach out to make sure we had the plan straight and that everything was going as planned. He was super flexible with the various scenarios and I can tell he just wants to help you get what you need done. Or Maman25 November 2025Move from West Ashley part of Charleston to Myrtle Beach. Exceeded expectations would be an understatement on this one. I went into this with low expectations because of what a tedious task moving typically is. My situation started more complex because of having a full storage unit, 5 bedroom house to move and storage deadlines to meet on the week of Thanksgiving 2 weeks after welcoming twin babies. Shane comes as advertised and handles the tough conversations well. There wasn’t an issue we couldn’t resolve or move past. I wasn’t sure what I’d get with the actual movers but I have to give a shoutout to the crew. They were all superstars. Day 1 was packing day, 3 man crew knocked it out in under 5 hours. Day 2 was load and breakdown big stuff, full 12 hour day and day 3 was unload and put big pieces back together. The last 2 days the same crew was with us all day. No exaggeration, the energy was positive with everyone. I thought I’d hear complaints or frustrations. Everyone worked together so well and was really cool. A ton of respect for the ones doing the dirty work with a smile on. Really positive experience, would reccomend for your move in the Carolinas, and based in Charleston SC 10/10Posted on Google

While it was way out of my budget, I worked out a solution (only packing a TV) and he made it work! Unfortunately the service came late in the nighttime but nonetheless it was completed professionally. Rell was the solo person (and with some help from me) he was able to get the TV packed under an hour. It was a difficult move to plan for as our furniture was in three separate storage units and much of it was hidden from view. While there was some delays with the delivery due to issues beyond the crew’s control, they stayed late into the night to get us setup. We did FaceTime so he could see everything that I needed to move. When the movers showed up, Curt & Hannah were wonderful. The team worked tirelessly, handling every piece with skill and care. Their packers and loaders were top-notch—efficient, hardworking, and detail-oriented. Even though they had to grab more pads mid-move, their communication was clear, and the pricing was fair. While they operate in a more informal style—providing only an email quote—it initially gave me pause. But they completely earned my trust, proving themselves through action. They packed every inch of a 26ft truck and a large van, ensuring everything was securely loaded. Furniture was expertly disassembled, wrapped, and reassembled with professionalism. The process was intense—7 hours to load, 5 hours to unload, all under scorching heat. Despite that, these guys kept moving, tackling stairs over 50 times and handling tons of delicate China without a single breakage. The only casualty? A flimsy particle board piece that truly couldn’t be saved—no fault of theirs. Their dedication and effort were undeniable, and the value they provided was outstanding. They prepped my floors and wrapped every piece to avoid damage. They had to move many heavy pieces from the third floor - even down curved outside stairs- and they did it making it look easy. The day of move the there work truck broke down but they where able to get another one. The guys were very professional and they loaded everything with care. After the truck was loaded we got to the new place and another moving truck came in at the same time. So they had to play roulette of who gets the elevator. But my guys just carried everything up the stairs till the other moving company was done. These guys muscle through it and got us all moved in. CHERYL HOLLAND5 February 2025Moving, no matter how well planned and organized one might be, is always a stressful undertaking; but Shane and his staff made our move from South Carolina to Alabama a breeze! From the crew that loaded our stuff up to the crew that unloaded our belongings (mostly the same gents) to the unexpected delay when the sellers couldn’t vacate our new home as expected we were treated with courtesy, kindness and professionalism. They even took extra care with Nanny’s china cabinet as I requested. Shane prides himself on moving the belongings of his clients as if he were moving his own family’s treasures and that pride is very well demonstrated through his employees. Even when I was overwhelmed with deciding where certain items should go in the house, they were patient with me and I am eternally grateful for their patience. I was nervous about moving a 5 bedroom house into a 3 bedroom house even after significant purging, but the R & S guys handled it flawlessly. Tharon Shiley16 November 2024R and S has been our go to for anything move related since 2020. Shane was building his business when we first met and he and his team moved our entire house. We were taking bids, and his communication, flexibility and reasonable estimate won us over, hands down. His team was meticulous about protecting our floors, wrapping our furniture, dishes, and keeping all the parts for beds and other furniture in specific boxes so that we could quickly locate and assemble them at our new house. We did manage to misplace one of those special boxes, but it was found and we had a good laugh together on it. Since that move, we’ve leveraged R and S to move a large glass backed liquor cabinet we bought and just yesterday we had his team run to Murell’s inlet to pick up a beautiful large sectional we purchased. They FaceTimed us before loading and sent pics after wrapping and loading so we knew exactly where they were in the process and confirmed our satisfaction. They got to our home, and they were courteous, helped move our old furniture, allowed me to quickly clean the rug and floors, then set the new furniture in place, it was perfect! Talk about a seamless transition from start to finish!! And Shane was available, keeping up with me on text as needed the entire time. You cant ask for more when placing your trusted valuables in the hands of others. We had quite a unique situation in which they had to deal with some things being stored in the garage and others needing to go get set up in rooms. Our truck driver had a few unfortunate things happen along the way, including flat tires and a tough time getting through windy roads to the house. Keith and Thomas had to wait a few hours, didn't get started until 4:30, and were at our house until after 9pm. They were courteous, patient, kind, polite and took great care of our things. From there, he had me show my daughters 2 bedroom apartment on Google Meet so he could assess what she had and determine the logistics of moving it to her new apartment. Keep in mind, the is just 1 week before the move and I needed them on Saturday, 9am sharp. Throughout the week, he texted me updates and took my calls and texts any time of day. Saturday morning came and 4 highly skilled, professional, motived, and pleasant movers arrived, Vince, Barry, Danny and Jesse. I was so impressed with how fast they shrink wrapped the furniture, secured moving pads to everything and loaded the truck so fast and efficiently…something I can’t say I’ve seen done before so well. There was plenty of social interaction and they were super polite and could anticipate our needs before we even knew what “came next.” When we got to our destination, I did buy them lunch to keep their energy to give them a 2nd wind as I knew they would need it…as the new apt had two narrow flights of stairs. It did not phase them, they carried dressers, Queen beds, lots of boxes and reassembled everything that was disassembled at the old place. R&S is a bit of a premium, but the white glove service you get from experienced movers who knew every trade secret, was money well spent! Thank you Shane, Vince, Barry, Danny, and Jesse. This time, there was a 3 man crew (Willie, Roberto and Carlito). These gentlemen could not have been easier work with. They were very polite and arrived on time. When my items were placed in the new storage unit, they organized it per my request. If I ever need moving services again, I think I would have to specifically request these 3 gentlemen. Could not be happier with this move. HIGHLY RECOMMEND R&S FROM A REPEAT CUSTOMER!!!!!!! ORIGINAL POST: The 4 man crew (Jason, Raheem, Ray and Darique) could not have been nicer. I moved a 3 bedroom house to 1 room in another location, picked up more items at the 2nd location and moved all to storage. All of the men were fine with what needed to go to each location. At the “in-between location” from my house to the storage facility, they set-up my furniture how I asked. If I had one issue, it would be that it took me about 2 weeks to box up everything and it only took these men 5 hours from start to finish!!!! No fair 😀😀😀. Moving my 69 year old mother to South Carolina from Maryland was a big task but one I took on with a uhaul. The help I had lined up to unload the truck in South Carolina fell through last minute so I was scrambling. Shane was professional and communicative and sent me two amazing gentlemen to unload the 26’ uhaul. What an amazing experience! Can’t speak highly enough about him and the crew he sent! Nancy Canino16 July 2024I had a wonderful experience with both Barry and Rob today. I admittedly had a difficult move with some awfully heavy and demanding pieces of furniture (think the girliest king sized bedroom set made of mirrors weighing at least 1200 lbs) and these guys were amazing. They were both so kind and treated every single item with exceptional care. It was 92 degrees today and 99.9% humidity, and although it was miserable outside, you wouldn’t have known it by their kind demeanors. It’s a precarious position to be at someone’s mercy while they cart all of your stuff across the country…but these guys made it easier on me. I am so very grateful.Posted on Google

The owner Shane from R&S Movers was the only one who actually talked to me on the phone and through text (I reached out to a number of moving companies). He understood our situation moving from overseas and worked with us any way he could. The day of the move, Brandon, Gee and Kevin met us at the storage unit. They were great! Very professional, kind and fun. There is nothing fun about moving, but we were able to joke and have a good time with them and get the job done in a timely manner. They moved giant pieces of furniture that we were convinced couldn't be moved into certain rooms. They made it look like a piece of cake! Hopefully, we won't be moving again for a while. Sharon Lonergan23 June 2024Gee, Thomas, Barry, Kenneth and Pete handled our move and were fantastic from start to finish. They wrapped our furniture very carefully and were polite and neat and did not do any damage to walls or doors during the move. They also had to take apart and carry a very heavy treadmill down a flight of stairs that curve and have a tight ceiling and they made it look easy. They were also patient and persistent to help us get the treadmill apart. Our items are going into storage while our new home is remodeled and I can’t wait to work with them again in a couple of months!
